Virtual und Augmented Reality (XR) Technologien fasziniert ihn seit mittlerweile über 10 Jahren. Sein Ziel ist es herauszufinden, ob XR-Anwendungsszenarien existieren, die für Sie und Ihr Unternehmen einen echten Mehrwert bieten. Hierbei profitieren Sie von meinem breiten Erfahrungsschatz, der sich aus meiner Rolle als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Fraunhofer IGD und als XR Community Gründer & Event Organisator (seit 2015) speist.
Titel: Being self-employed doing what you love – a personal résumé
Abstract: In this talk, Fabian Rücker will share his learnings and experiences from three years of being part-time, solo self-employed as a consultant in immersive technologies. The aim is to provide realistic and authentic insights into the life of a self-employed tech consultant, highlighting not only the successes but also the challenges and failures encountered along the way. Fabian will candidly discuss the obstacles faced, strategies that worked, and those that didn’t. Finally, he will offer an interim conclusion on this way of working, reflecting on whether it’s a sustainable and fulfilling career path.
CV: Fabian Rücker is a self-employed consultant for immersive technologies – Virtual & Augmented Reality and a PhD candidate at Fraunhofer IGD. While studying mathematics, he founded the non-profit VR & AR community VRANKFURT in 2015 and began conducting research in this field after finishing his studies.
As part of his consulting work at XR Consulting Rücker, he supports companies in identifying and implementing relevant VR & AR use cases and offers practically relevant introductory workshops. In the beginning of 2024, he released the Virtual Reality app “MR Chess” (Mixed Reality Chess), which aims to facilitate a true-to-life over the board chess experience.
